The PRMc II is a full-page, multi-purpose scanner series which provides automatic, accurate data extraction and verification with the ability to read multiple types of identity documents: passports, e-passports, ID cards, visas and driving licenses. The printed data is extracted from the entire page (MRZ, VIZ and 1D & 2D bar codes) while digital data is obtained from contactless (RFID) and contact smart chips. OCR and RFID reading is done in a single step. The standard and enhanced versions of the scanner series both posses multiple illumination sources (visible white, IR and UV), hardware-assisted reflection removal (RR) and OVD visualization functions. In order to counteract the most often forged part of passports, the enhanced versions are capable to optically capture a 960 PPI image of the bearer’s face photo from the scanned document’s data page. The resulting exceptionally high-resolution image offers more accurate verification and also allows for automatic Jura IPI decryption. The PRMc II series is ideal for any application from border control and immigration, to security and commercial environments such as banks, hotels and telecom retailers. The modular hardware design offers great flexibility and OEM versions are available as well.
