The Combo Smart scanners are a series of compact, full-page, multi-purpose passport and ID scanners that provide automatic, accurate data extraction and document verification. They read multiple document types: passports, e-passports, ID cards, visas and driver’s licenses. Printed data is extracted from the entire data page, from MRZ, VIZ and 1D & 2D bar codes. It also extracts digital data from contact-less (RFID) and contact smart chips and from Magstripes. OCR and RFID reading is done in one single step. Multiple illumination sources are available: visible white, IR and UV. Captured images are glare-free (with our Reflection Removal) while OVD signs are visualized in a separate image. By using the latest ID reading and verification technologies, combined with fast and easy operation and having no moving parts, the Combo Smart series is ideal for any application from border control & immigration, to security and commercial environments like banks, hotels or telecom companies. Its modular design allows great flexibility, as 16 different configurations can be made and OEM versions are also available.
